Home Office

While home office is getting more popular in officers, some people argue that this way to work has a few problems. Let us explore the merits and demerits of home office.

Working without any pressure must be another attractive trait of home office to the officers. Unlike working in offices, the officers won’t be monitored by their bosses. In addition, the officers may feel that their boss don’t believe them when the bosses observe them through the windows. As a result, they feel so stressed on the way to the offices every morning and it’s impossible for companies to build up linkages with the employees. On the contrary, they would feel much relaxed to work at home. What’s more, working without pressure can also enhance employers’ moral. There is no doubt that it benefits the long-term development of the companies.

Saving lots of unnecessary steps is another to be mentioned factors. Take woman as an example, they need to make up every morning before going to the offices. Needless to say, they must get up earlier so as to having adequate time to make up. Actually, it’s just a waste of time by making up. Becoming more pretty doesn’t mean they would have a better quality of their projects or they would become more efficient. Working at home helps eliminate these meaningless steps. And time spending on transport is the same principle; it’s also a waste of time.

While home office has merits, it also has demerits. One of the demerits is the inconvenience of communication between colleagues. While officers work at the offices, they can talk about the work with colleagues in person. Avoiding many communication errors helps reduce operational errors. On the contrary, working at home cut back opportunities to communicate with the colleagues. If the home officers want to talk to their bosses or colleagues, they have no choices but to go back to offices or phone them. Needless to say, it’s really troublesome.

Another disadvantage of home office is the home officer’s lack of impetus. On account of pressure that monitored by the bosses, officers will try their best to finish their works. Yet, they may not keep the exertion on the works while they work at home, such a comfortable, pressure-less place. By submitting substandard assignments, the impression of the home-officers may be worsened. Worse still, they may become the first of the “fired” name lists.

After reading my views towards “home office”, what do you think of it? Are you still eager to have a home office? Or feel satisfied with present situation? Of course, how to make a perfect choice is always the art.
